HaNoi, Halong Bay & Saigon.

Alhamdulillah, again I've got Perodua Trip (Lube Incentive). This time the destination is Vietnam (Hanoi City and also Ho Chi Minh City).
We took Vietnam Airlines. This is my first time using the Vietnam airlines and what I can say about their services is jus Ok aje lah...nothing impress.. The flight takes 2 hours to Saigon and then another 2 hours to Hanoi.

Hanoi- It is the capital city of Vietnam and it is located on the northern side. The population is almost 10 million people but it is not crowed as Ho Chi Minh City.

First day in Hanoi, just having the city tour to Ba Dinh Square or Ho Chi Minh mausoleum (where they display the president HCM body's that died in 1969!). They put the body in the huge glass coffin and guarded by their national soldiers.

In evening, we spent time at the local shops for some souvenirs... bags and cloths (imitation) are cheap in Hanoi but I'm more interested looking at their canvas painting because I knew Vietnam people good in art.

Second day, we went to Halong Bay (170km east of Hanoi City). Halong Bay is designated by UNESCO as the World Natural Heritage Site. Here I spent more than 400 shot using my canon.

Finally Ho Chi Minh City. Since this is my second time in the city so it is much easier to have our own activity. Ben Thanh Market is the favorite place for abiskan duit... a place like pasar siti khadijah in Kota Bahru...takde apa selain borong kain cotton and vietnamese silk. While at nite I go to Saigon HRD...but on that nite the live performing band is like budak akademi fantasia...suara hampeh but the music ok.

Due to disaster in Japan on 12th March and worst the explosion of the nuclear power station at Fukushima, we canceled our trip to Tokyo and changed our holiday trip to Medan, Sumatra.

Medan is the fourth largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung. With a population of about 2 million people it is the largest city outside of Java.

Among the places that we spent in Medan other then the crowd of the city is Permatang Siantar (by train) Perapat, Lake Toba, Samosir Island (motorcycle island tour) and the highland of Brastagi.
